Register NOW for YoungSTARS 2011 and 2012!
Launched February, 2011, the newest addition to programming for BVSC is the YoungSTARS. Created especially for 3 and 4 year olds, these 45-minute indoor classes uniquely combine the sports world of soccer with the learning-through-play world of preschool. Coached by experienced soccer professionals with the addition of an experienced preschool teacher, themed classes encourage language and social development in addition to beginning soccer skills in a creative, fun and active environment. Age-appropriate topics may include COLORS, FARM ANIMALS, BEACH FUN and BUGS – something new with each session! Each 5-week session focuses on soccer skill progression with the knowledge that every child develops at his/her own pace. Sign up for one 5-week session or all of them, as each session follows a brand new curriculum.

Our son has loved your program. All YoungSTAR's coaches are enthusiastic, the instruction is developmentally appropriate and just plain fun. I love that you break into small groups for different activities. Our son specifically raved about the bowling and playing with the giant soccer ball, which we just purchased today for our backyard. I like your bulletin board with ideas and appreciate you having crayons, coloring sheets, and toys for the siblings in the waiting area.
I have a Master's in Education, Bachelor's in Elementary Education, and Minor in Early Childhood. I know a good program when I see one, and YoungSTARS is a shining star! Nice job!

YoungSTARS - Tots in soccer…dribbling allowed and even encouraged!
Choose Tuesday classes and/or Wednesday classes. Choose class times of 9:15-10:00 am OR 10:15-11:00 am.
Cost of each Session (Five 45-minute classes) is $60.

All YoungSTARS classes are held at our indoor facility located at: 6800 W. 153rd St. (east of Metcalf) in Overland Park.
Our indoor facility includes a gymnasium for use by our YoungSTARS and coaches only as well as a designated Parent Locker Room where parents/caretakers may watch their child through a viewing window or just relax while the class is being conducted.
Dress for YoungSTARS should be comfortable play clothes - shorts/sweatpants and t-shirt with tennis shoes. Cleats, sandals, Crocs, dress shoes should not be worn. Shin guards worn inside soccer socks are recommended, but are not required.
YoungSTARS participants must be potty-trained and able to use the bathroom on their own - please contact us if this is a concern.
