REGISTRATION FOR SPRING 2012 ACADEMY BEGINS OCTOBER 21, 2011!
What: The Academy is designed for any player wanting to maximize their existing soccer skills while learning new skills of the game. Players are progressively taught a variety of soccer skills including dribbling, passing and receiving, juggling, shooting and controlling. Improving the player’s level of comfort, balance, agility and creative confidence on the ball is also a goal of this program. Players are encouraged to use these new skills in an end-of-the-session scrimmage each Friday night. The Academy is coached by experienced soccer professionals which are all STARS Competitive Team Coaches or BVSC Professional Trainers.
Who: Players Ages 5 to 12 (Pre K to 6th Grade)
When:
- Sessions are held on 7 Friday evenings – Spring & Fall Sessions Available
- Spring 2012 Academy Dates - March 23, 30, April 6, 13, 20, 27, May 4
- Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st Graders: 5:30 – 6:30 pm
- 2nd – 6th Graders: 6:40 – 7:40 pm
Where: Overland Park Soccer Complex – Training Facility of the Blue Valley Soccer Club
Why: The ACADEMY is for you if:
- You are a brand new player that has never played soccer
- You have a player who would like to supplement their soccer skill development from their recreational or competitive team
- You have a Future STARS player that would like to have additional instruction and an extra scrimmage to their soccer training
- You have a STARS player that would like to continue their development and sharpen their skills
- You have a child who is not currently on a soccer team, but would like to learn soccer skills to find out if they indeed love the game
- You are planning to try out for a team in the Summer of 2012
- Your soccer team would like an additional organized, motivating training session to kick start your team’s soccer skill levels - sign up as a team

Official BVSC Academy Kit (Fall 2011 Academy participants will use the Academy Uniform Kit they already received in the fall.)
