WELCOME TO THE BLUE VALLEY SOCCER CLUB
The Blue Valley Soccer Club (BVSC) was formed in 1977 to provide children in Blue Valley with a place to play soccer in a fun and safe environment. In 1993 we became the first club to offer small sided games for our recreational players. Former professional soccer player Tim Clark created a competitive program in 1995 for U9 players and above which was named the STARS.
With the start of the new millennium, the club continued to see significant growth in player membership. Peter Vermes, US National Team, Olympian, World Cup, MLS All-Star and Wizards Player, was hired in 2003 to serve as the Club’s Technical Director. The club sought to offer improved programming for all children regardless of skill level. In April of 2004, the STARS Program and the KC Nomads competitive program merged together, bringing on board two more former soccer professionals, Chris Duke and Jon Parry. This gave us the opportunity to create a quality Technical Staff to oversee all aspects of the club.
Today, we are one of the largest clubs in the Midwest region of the United States, supporting soccer programming for over 5,400 children. We have over 300 Recreational Teams and 72 STARS teams. We offer professional coaches to our STARS teams and professional trainers for our recreational players 2nd grade and above. In addition, we offer programming which includes:
BVSC Academy which focuses on the individual’s technical skills
VPD Soccer Camps, which offers recreation and pre-tryout camps
Goal keeper specific training
Coaching Education and USSF Licensing
Speed, Agility, Strength & Conditioning Training through our association with the Centers for Athletic Performance, (CAP).
Our Technical and Administrative staff is committed to continually improving all of our programs. This is achieved through the implementation of our curriculum and coaching education. All of these things position us to create a club that ultimately focuses on player development at every level.
